Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and what better way to say thanks to my readers than with free stuff??
We all have so much to be thankful for, and for me one of those things is all of you who follow along with my little blog.

A while ago, I placed an order on Colourpop's website. I am absolutely in love with Colourpop's products and have been for a year or so. I even mentioned a couple of their products in my October Favorites post. They are affordable, unique, great quality, and a good mix of fun & wearable shades. The lippiestix & the shadows are my two favorite products so far (I haven't tried the new eyeliners yet but I would like to!) and I have my eye on a few other things as well. At $5-$8 a pop, they're a great investment but it's still nice to find reviews & swatches online to see which ones would work out for you.
Okay, enough extolling the virtues of Colourpop's prodcuts--back to my order. I ordered a set of the Sundays in Silverlake lippies and a set of the Mondays in Malibu shadows, their summer sets (a few are left in stock if you'd like to purchase!). Unfortunately, when I received my package it contained two Mondays in Malibu and 0 Sundays in Silverlake. I let the company know and sent them a photo of the two shadow sets, and they shipped me a lippie set and let me keep the duplicate! Now I can speak to the great customer service of Colourpop as well as the quality of the products. This also works out great for you guys, because I would love to give the second Mondays in Malibu Super Shock Shadow Collection away to one of you lovely people. :) I'll throw a couple of "surprises" in there for you too!
I've been really loving this set, and I hope you will too! It has a good mix of shimmery and more matte shadows, the colors are beautiful together, and the texture of these shadows is just so fun. If you try these out and are unused to the texture, I often use my fingertips for application and then blend with a crease brush and I find that is the best method for me. They are very pigmented, so be careful with the darker, more intense shades if you have a very light skin tone (like me). If you're using a very sparkly shade you will get some sparkle fallout but otherwise these stay well in place throughout the day.
I know I have some readers who are very interested in trying out new makeup and beauty products--good luck to you!

I've tried Colourpop's lipsticks, lip liners, and eyeshadows, and I really like them. I definitely have some more items from Colourpop on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteMe too! My Colourpop wishlist is always growing!
DeleteYes, I have, mostly their lip products. I want to add some Chloe perfume to my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteOoh, good taste!
DeleteHey Jaclyn! I've never tried, let alone heard of Colourpop! Is it only online or are there any local retailers that carry it? I'm not much of an eyeshadow person because I feel like my eyelids are so hooded it never shows anyway and since I've gotten married I've strayed away from lip color other than stains :) But I'm always down to try something new! ReplyDeleteI believe they are only available online. If you're not as into shadows or lippies, they also have great face highlights, eyeliners, blushes & bronzers!
DeleteI havent tried that before!
ReplyDeleteJenna
You will love them! Good luck!
DeleteI just placed my first order for a couple of the Lippie Stix last week and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. I specifically went on there to order Kathleen Lights collab shad Lumiere, because I'd had my eye on it for quite a while. I've been wanting to try out their eye shadows as well!
ReplyDeleteI have that collab and LOVE it! It will look even more beautiful on your skin tone!
DeleteForgot my email. lwatznauer@gmail.com
DeleteIt's a lighter shade than I normally go for, so hopefully I like it!! I normally go for the dark shades.
Also - have you tried the Ulta Matte Lip Creams!? They are da bomb.

I picked a couple up early this summer and am in love.
You should try her shadow collab as well when you get around to trying out a shadow (if you don't win here, that is!)-- "Where the Light Is"--it would be beautiful on you.
DeleteI haven't gotten any of the lip creams yet but I have been eyeing them! I'm not always a huge fan of matte liquid lips but I really like the Milani ones so I have high hopes for these as well. :)
Never tried, but would love to. kacahoon1962@gmail. Com
